Decorative wall panelling for interiors

Decorative wall panelling is a finishing service: we design a panel layout for the wall, fit the decorative moulding or timber panelling, then prepare and paint it as part of the room.

It is not structural carpentry, building work or a substitute for a builder. We work with existing walls that are suitable for decorative panelling. Heights, spacing and the painted finish are agreed so the wall looks intentional once it is complete.

What we can help with

Panelling is specified around the wall, the style you want and the painted finish that will sit with the rest of the room.

  • Decorative wall panelling and timber panel layouts
  • Feature walls in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways
  • Modern panelling and decorative moulding arrangements
  • Fitted detailing as part of the wall design
  • Preparation and painted finishes

Where panelling works well

The best results are on walls with enough height and a clear purpose — a bed wall, a sitting-room elevation or a hallway that needs more presence.

  1. 01

Bedroom feature walls behind the bed, painted to sit with the rest of the scheme

  2. 02

Living room elevations that need structure without changing the room’s architecture

  3. 03

Hallways and landings where panelling can take the scuffs and still look considered

  4. 04

Rooms where the panelling will be painted as part of a wider interior decorating project

How a panelling project is designed

  1. 01

    Proportion first

We look at the wall size, room height and the style of panelling you want, so the layout does not feel cramped or oversized.

  2. 02

    Layout and finish

Spacing, heights, detailing and the intended painted colour are agreed before anything is fitted.

  3. 03

    Fit and prepare

The decorative panelling is installed, then joints and surfaces are prepared so the paint can finish cleanly.

  4. 04

    Paint and complete

The panelling and the agreed surrounding surfaces are painted, detailed and checked with the rest of the room.

Why Sean & Mo for panelling

Panelling only looks expensive when the layout and the paintwork are treated as one job.

Designed for the wall you have

We start with the dimensions and how the room is used. A copied grid that ignores the wall usually looks wrong.

Painted as decorating, not an afterthought

Filling, sanding and the final coats are part of the service. Bare or rushed paint is what makes panelling look temporary.

Tried on the wall first

If you want to test colours against the room, the Colour Studio and Visualiser are there before we specify the painted finish.
